Chris and I arrived to Tomato Lake early on Sunday morning (or as early as anyone should be up on a Sunday!) and began setting up the Ferret Necessities tent - a challenge, as we had only set it up once before. With a little help from Charles, we were soon up and running, and as busy as usual. The weather was perfect ferret weather - not too hot, not too cold - and many ferrets were there to enjoy it. Around 40 people came, mingled, ate, relaxed and then went home during the course of the day. Some enjoyed a packed lunch, others grabbed a snack from the Tomato Lake Kiosk. Revolution and Dianne's Ferret Pedicure Service were on call, and served many. Ferret Necessities did very well, thanks entirely to the support from our wonderful members. I'm not sure who had more fun - the ferrets exploring the park, or their well-trained humans following close behind them! shona |
